Agreement to terms

By downloading, installing, or using Milo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use Milo. By using the App, you represent that you are at least 17, have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms, and that your use does not violate any applicable law.

Description of service

Milo is a smoking cessation support app providing progress tracking, craving support tools, health milestone information, educational content, an AI-powered Quit Coach, and a community forum. Milo is a wellness and support tool, not a medical device or healthcare service.

The App is for general informational and motivational purposes only. Health milestones are based on published research and represent general population data; individual results may vary. The AI Coach provides emotional support and practical strategies, not medical guidance. Consult a healthcare professional before making decisions about your health.

AI Coach terms

Milo is an AI-powered feature using Google's Gemini AI technology. It is not a human. It cannot provide medical advice, diagnoses, or prescriptions, and cannot handle emergencies or mental health crises. Responses are generated algorithmically and may not always be accurate. Daily message limits apply (50 per day).

When you use the AI Coach, your messages and contextual data (quit status, smoking history, craving patterns, mood, progress) are sent to Google's Vertex AI service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

You agree not to: attempt to manipulate or jailbreak the AI, submit illegal or abusive content, rely on the AI for medical/legal/financial advice, or share personal information of others.

Community forum guidelines

Milo's community forum has zero tolerance for objectionable content including: abuse, harassment, hate speech, sexually explicit content, promotion of violence or self-harm, spam, doxxing, impersonation, medical advice from non-professionals, and promotion of smoking, vaping, or tobacco products.

Users can report content using the Report button. Reported content is reviewed and removed if it violates guidelines. Repeated violations may result in a ban. You are solely responsible for content you post. Community posts are pseudonymous.

Milo offers a 7-day free trial followed by a paid subscription: $39.99/year or $9.99/month.

Your free trial begins when you subscribe
Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase
Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
Manage or cancel in your Apple ID account settings

No refunds for partial subscription periods.

Intellectual property

The App and its content are owned by Milo and protected by international intellectual property laws. When you post in the community forum, you retain ownership but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your content within the App.

Prohibited activities

You agree not to: violate laws, harass others, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the App, reverse engineer it, spread health misinformation, use the community for advertising, or impersonate staff or users.

Account termination

You may stop using Milo at any time by deleting your data (Profile > Data & Privacy > Delete all data) and uninstalling. We may suspend or terminate access for Terms violations, harmful activities, or illegal use.

Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." We disclaim all warranties. We do not guarantee that Milo will help you quit smoking, that health milestones apply to your situation, that AI responses will be appropriate, or that the forum will be free of objectionable content.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or use. Total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the past 12 months. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States.

Apple App Store terms

If downloaded from the Apple App Store: these Terms are between you and Milo, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support and is not responsible for claims relating to the App. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms.

Changes to terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them. For material changes, we may notify you in the App.
